BRISTOL: hoochie coochie on Flickr.
I spent last night photographing Keda Breeze’s Hoochie Coochie at the White Bear. Full review and photoset will be uploaded to my blog over the next day of two. This is Rowan Faye as she leaves the stage.

BIRMINGHAM: fit for life on Flickr.
I’m still not to sure about this new lens, it just doesn’t seem as sharp as the Ziess 2.8 ….I guess as with all new glass it takes a little while to get a custom to it’s signature? time shall tell.

Another photo that I just can’t make work in colour, so I’ve had to upload it in black and white so looks more in keeping with my older work… but I thought that I would share it with you anyway!
I’ve just come back from a weeks camping/adventuring in the south of france. Choosing to travel by car ferry not air was one of the best decisions made in a long time. Thinking that the ferry would be a good place to catch some rest for the long journey ahead was not so cleaver. The boat designers must have been under a strict brief to create the most un-sleep friendly furniture possible (cleverly thought out armrest positioning and so on)…. If you havent booked an expensive cabin for the night, you will stay up and eat, drink and shop!
I’m thinking of removing the black boarders and signature from the top and bottom of my images like I have it on my website www.JonathanTaphouse.com , what do you guys think? …are they unnecessary?
I must apologise for my lack of uploads recently, I’ve been very busy with the photographs that actually make me money. Photographing both weddings, and Catalogue images for TrailerTek.com
Quite a contrast to yesterday’s portait of a shop owner. It’s amazing the effort some designers go to, to present your new product in a way that is considered to some superior. I don’t think I could shop somewhere like this… too loaded with pre-defined style.
